1.  Introduction

The release of the GTA VI trailer has finally occurred, shocking the gaming community. Rockstar Games has officially unveiled the first look at the next installment in the Grand Theft Auto series, and fans are buzzing with excitement.  We'll go over every detail from the trailer, look at leaks, and talk about what to expect from GTA VI in this blog post.

2. Release Date and First look

The GTA 6 release date is Tuesday, May 26, 2026.  This is the launch date for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, while the GTA 6 PC release is likely to arrive later that year.  GTA 6 will be available for purchase on the PlayStation Store at midnight in all time zones, according to the official listing.

3. Setting and Location

The maps below are all very close representations of what the final GTA 6 map could look like, including Vice City on the east side of the map, the Grassrivers, and many other towns and locations. You can open the images in a new window to view them in higher resolution.

4. GTA VI Map concept: All location in one Game

Vice-Dale County is inspired by Miami-Dade County, Florida. It includes the following confirmed locations:

• Vice City (Miami) - County seat
• Vice Beach
• Hamlet
• Belville
• Crosstown
• Ekanfinaka
• Leaf Links
• Little Haiti
• Little Havana
• Ocean Beach
• Rockridge
• South Beach
• Stockyard (Wynwood)
• Venetian Islands
• Vice City International Airport
• Vice City Port
• Washington Beach

Even though there’s no solid evidence that Rockstar will go for this approach, having a Map that includes all previous cities from GTA games would truly be a dream.

Fans have already made several custom maps that combine all known GTA locations into a single map, simulating an entire world of interconnected cities we’re familiar with (Liberty City, Los Santos, Vice City, etc.).

• Los Santos (lower left) from GTA V (and GTA San Andreas)
• Vice City (lower right) from GTA Vice City

Rockstar previously stated in an interview that they would like to include all previous cities in one GTA game, so this map might be a real possibility somewhere down the road.

5. Main character

The main characters in Grand Theft Auto VI are Lucia and Jason Duval. They are portrayed as a criminal couple, inspired by Bonnie and Clyde, and are the first playable protagonists in the series

Here's a bit more about them:

• Lucia:

  The first female protagonist in the GTA series, Lucia is a central figure in the game's storyline and is shown alongside Jason in various scenes, including one where she is being picked up from prison. 
• Jason Duval:

  He is shown to be involved in drug trafficking and is portrayed as a former soldier who later gets involved in illegal activities with Lucia. 

Beyond Lucia and Jason, other characters are also confirmed to play roles in the game's narrative, such as: 

• Cal Hampton: A friend of Jason and an associate of Brian Heder.
• Boobie Ike: A well-known figure in Vice City.
• Dre'Quan Priest: An aspiring music mogul and hustler.
• Real Dimez: A music duo.
• Raul Bautista: A bank robber.
• Brian Heder: An experienced drug smuggler who rents property to Jason.

These characters, alongside Lucia and Jason, are likely to play significant roles in the game's unfolding narrative. 

6.Graphics And Gameplay improvements

Rockstar is pushing boundaries with GTA 6’s engine:

• Hyper-realistic visuals (ray tracing, 4K textures)

• Enhanced AI (smarter NPCs, police chases)

• More interactive world (enterable buildings, dynamic NPC routines)

• Improved driving & shooting mechanics

The game is expected to be a next-gen exclusive, targeting PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
